This is a large red lace leaf japanese maple that i started from seed over 25+ years ago. It is in a stamped tokanme brown pot that is 8.5×7 by 3 high. The tree is 18″ tall from the soil line and 10.5″ wide , it has a 1.75 trunk at the soil line. It has been repotted every two years, fertilized 2 times a year, and continually cut and trimmed back creating it great refinement. It has great movement and fantastic tapper to it.
The leaf patter is a very delicate cut and the tree is almost a glowing orangeish red in the spring when it comes out, just amazing. It has been an honor to work on this tree from a seedling to where it is not, and i know the new owner will cherish this fine tree as well. Hopefully the new owner will get the same kind of nostalgia from this tree….
