The beautiful spring color of Murasaki Kiyohime lasts for about a month before turning fully green and then returning to the vibrant green with purple-red margins by summer. While training a Maple bonsai tree may be a bit more challenging than working on a Juniper, it by no means requires a sophisticated green thumb. The one tip I will share is to never water the foliage during the summer season as this will cause the tips to burn. Secondly give the tree a good watering and then put the tree in a partially shaded spot for a few days to allow it to adjust.
