The fall color is orange to yellow. Along with its many developing small twigs, this maple is also blessed with small leaves that make it a perfect choice for a bonsai subject. While training a Maple bonsai tree may be a bit more challenging than working on a Juniper, it by no means requires a sophisticated green thumb. The one tip I will share is to never water the foliage during the summer season as this will cause the tips to burn. Complementing the beautiful composition is a beautiful ocean blue colored pot with hues of a bronze colored glaze found around the edges. The rectangular glazed ceramic bonsai pot shows no chop mark, but I believe it is a Yixing because of the light brown clay color that can be seen at the bottom of the pot (8.5×6.5×3).
