BONSAI TREE TWIN TRUNK BOXWOOD in TOKONAME CLAY POT. We realize that the winter chill is still impacting many parts of the U. Canopy: Both canopies are created to work in concert with each other 25 across. Height: The height of the taller tree from the soil line to the top of the apex is 20. Nebari (Root Spread): Tree has several dramatic exposed Roots. Trunk Diameter: The trunk Dia, is approximately 2.5 inches. By nature, twin-trunks give an impression of serenity and in the case of this boxwood there is tranquility in this Mother/Daughter pairing that the viewer can admire for hours. The resilient ability of the boxwood is one of the many reasons why I love this plant. I find that the branch structure lends itself particularly well to the twin trunk style, and the small leaves make the tree look quite realistic. Another advantage to having a twin trunk boxwood is that with time the two trunks will fuse together beautifully at the base as is visible in the photographs. Another attribute that I admire about the boxwood is that the foliage responds well to pruning and styling, giving the ability to give each trunk its own individual canopy, but still works in concert with its partner. A stand-alone boxwood is beautiful but shaping the tree into a twin-trunk makes it appear more majestic. I could not imagine a species more suited to the twin trunk style than the boxwood. Adding to the synergy of the beautiful twin trunk and tree is an oval Japanese production Tokoname bonsai pot (16x 12x 4). The old pot is in great shape and shows no visible cracks or chips, but plenty of patina.
