Bonsai Murasaki Kiohime Japanese maple great movement 25 years old shohin mame nr. It is in a stamped Japanese tokoname pot that is 7.5×6 inches by 3 inches tall. The tree is 6.5 inches tall from the soil line, and is 7 inches wide. It has a 1.75 inch trunk at the soil line with great movement. The pot has great patina on it. It has been wired, pinched back, trimmed, fertilized and repotted at the appropriate times and is very healthy. It has an unique fall of an yellow orange color and spring color comes in with an intense red around the leaf fringes, see photo. The leafs are light green to dark green in Sumer time. The leafs are rather unusual in there pattern shape and coloring. Coarse textured bark with great aging (see photos) Spring and fall are the party times. It forms a short stocky limbed tree with great character. In spite of the large leaves it is a dwarf at about 4′ x 4′ in ten years. It is as wide as tall. Item for sale is pictured. I started the tree from seed off of my mother tree. Because it was started from a seed and not a cutting each seedling has unique aspects, different color leafs, different shape and cuts to the leaf pattern. I have never seen one quite like this.
