BONSAI TREE TWIN TRUNK TRIDENT MAPLE ROOT OVER ROCK & SMALL LEAF. Height: The height of the taller tree from the soil line to the top of the apex is 18.5. Trunk Diameter: The trunk Dia, is approximately 1.25 at base. Nabari (Root Spread): 9 across. Canopy: of both trees is 19 across. Rare small leaf Twin Trunk Trident Maple (Acer buergerianum) with a root over rock style. Is well on its way of becoming a very nice specimen tree. There is rustic and natural feel in the way that both Maples grip the rocks and it also shows the many years that have passed since it was first fashioned into this style. The foliage is of the highest quality, and the bud formation is also excellent. You will not find many root over rock trident maples with leaves as small as the ones on this is tree. The excellent development of the branches and the active growth of new foliage is a strong indicator of a very good root system. The Trident Maple is often used with tremendous success as a bonsai, but to find a specimen Twin Trunk root over rock trident maple is rare in deed. Just like most quality bonsai, the process in creating this tree was very time consuming. This deciduous tree also has small beautiful tri-lobed leaves, which turn various shades of red, orange, and yellow in autumn. Flowers are bright yellow and showy in the spring. With its moderate growth rate, attractive orange-brown peeling bark, and easy maintenance a root over rock Trident Maple is highly valued as a bonsai subject. Although this bonsai is very impressive, the tree is actually still a work in progress so the branches along with the exposed roots will continue developing until both tree and rock reach a synergistic harmony.
