Dwarf Shohin Mame Trident Maple Bonsai Tree Japanese Maple 17 yrs movement nr. It is in a stamped Japanese tokoname pot that is 5×3.5 inches by 2 inches tall. The tree is 6 inches tall from the soil line, and is 4 inches wide. It has a massive 1/2 inch trunk at the soil line with great movement. The pot is one of my absolute favorite, the shape and color are spectacular. It has been wired, pinched back, trimmed, fertilized and repotted at the appropriate times and is very healthy. It has an unique fall of an yellow orange color and spring color comes in with a light reddish around the leaf fringes, see photo. The leafs are light green to dark green in Sumer time. The leafs are rather unusual in there pattern shape and coloring, I have not had a trident like this one, the leafs are roundish at the ends instead fo being pointy. I started it from seed, and because of this I get a lot of genetic diversity. Coarse textured bark with great aging and fantastic twisting to it. I will be out of town from July 19 to august 7.
