This is a stunning Pot Made By the man of Japanese bonsai pots, Heian Tofukuji. The only person whose ever had a book written just about his bonsai pots works and his career. I’ve owned this pot for over 10 years and still love it but wonder if someone else out there loves it as much or more than I do. I got it from the green club in Ueno park, outside of Tokyo during the kokufu ten show held each year for over 90 years. It’s considered a pear skin style pot by the clay body that was used and the pot size is what really makes this desirable…. Many in the world love Shohin Size trees and their pots but now a trend has gone to the next size up from Shohin, just slightly larger trees and pots. The size and shape and build of this pot make it really desirable around the world. Please understand that this pot is in excellent condition but it’s likely 50-80 years old may have some super small minuscule nicks here and there.
