This is a 16 year old Kingsville Boxwood, grown from a cutting and planted with a group of collected dark Ballast stones. Sekijoju, Japanese for root over rock planting, its creation was greatly influenced by the Chinese Shanshui penjing landscapes. I have created only a hand full of these small landscapes. This is another that shows to have great potential and has vigorous new growth. Standing 9 tall, from the bottom of the pots feet to the trees top, Its planted in a beautifully glazed oval Japanese pot. It measures 8 x 5 1/2 and is 1 5/8 from the bottom of the pots feet to its lip edge. The pot has 5 glazing drips which I prize and display with the front of this tree. I have tended this tree from its beginnings, as a cutting from its parent tree. As with all bonsai, the training never ends. This trees training wires have been removed. This tree has been wired and rewired over a 4 year period to achieve this styling effect. THIS LISTING IS FOR THE EXACT ITEM PICTURED.
