Bonsai Japanese trident maple root over rock shohin mame show ready 61yrs A+++. This little gem is in a stamped brown freckled tokoname pot that is, 5.5×7.56 inches by 2inch hight. It is just fantastic. The tree is 7 inches from the soil line and is 9 inches wide. It has a massive massive trunk that is 4.25 including the rock, see photos has just amazing structure ad ramification to it. It was brought back from Japan over 55 years ago by my father. It was his pride and joy and would show it every year in the american bonsai club here in sacramento ca. He won several awards over the years ranging from best show in mame shohin class to members choice. It is one of the best shown mame trident japanese maple over rock I have ever seen, it truly takes my breath away every time i see it. I have owned it for 11 years and have enjoyed working on it and viewing it. As can be seen the structure is amazing , achieve from decades of wiring, pinching and trimming. It also has the just amazing colors in the falll ranging from light yellow, dark yellow, deep reds, just very elegant. The rock is out of the red river basin in Japan that can no longer be collected in. It has been repotted, trimmed pinched backh and fertilized at all of the apropiate times. I know the new owner will get the same gratification out of this prize tree that I have.
