The tree was field grown as bonsai stock at Grateful Gardens Nursery of central PA for over 25 years. It was transplanted 5-6 times over its life with root work each time. It was grown in the ground and potted spring of 17. Once removed from the field, The tree was cut back to expose the trunk and develop branch pads. This tree is an absolute beast that has a massive trunk, very nice branching and a beautiful overall form. It also has a nice, full canopy and is ready for styling and a bonsai pot.
