First photo taken 4/10/19 other photos taken 3/29/19. Ulmus parvifolia Chinese elm with ballast stones and intertwining roots and has a Chinese Penjin influenced styling. This tree was started from a single root cuttings, 9 years ago. It stands 14 1/2 tall from the bottom the pot to the trees top. Its twisting fantastic surface roots gives it a most unique look. This tree is planted in a dark blue, 3 footed, glazed round flower shape quality Chinese pot. It measures 7 1/4 in diameter and 2 5/8 tall from the bottom of its feet to the top lip. I have tended this tree from its beginnings, as a root cutting from its parent tree. Every few years I produce a few of these trees and this is one that has shown to have developed well and has very good future aspects. It has been repotted spring 2018 and shows great vigor. This tree has been wired at several stages during its development to achieve this styling. The naturally small leaves make Chinese Elm an ideal Candidate for bonsai.
