Bonsai Japanese bonfire maple shohin mame show ready 37yrs. This little gem is in an old stamped tokanme pot that is, 8×6 inches by 3. Inch hight. It is just fantastic. It was my fathers his pride and joy and would show it every year in the american bonsai club here in sacramento ca. He won several awards over the years ranging from best show in mame shohin class to members choice. It is one of the best shown mame bonfire japanese maples I have ever seen, it truly takes my breath away every time i see it. I have owned it for 8years and have enjoyed working on it and viewing it. As can be seen the structure is amazing , achieve from decades of wiring, pinching and trimming. It also has the just amazing colors in the falll ranging from light yellow, to dark yellow, just very elegant. As can be seen in the photos this jp bonfire has some of the best colors, red orangish fringe around leafs. It has been repotted, trimmed pinched backh and fertilized at all of the apropiate times. I know the new owner will get the same gratification out of this prize tree that I have.
