This is a Shohin mame Itoigawa Shimpaku Juniper Bonsai (old japanese Import) 30yrs+ , A+ show grade. It is 6 inches tall and 7 inches wide. It has a massive trunk at the soil line that is 2 inches wide. It is in a stamped tokonme pot that is 5.5 x 4.25 by 2 inches tall. It has been trimmed / pinched back, wired fertilized 2x’s a year, repotted ever3-5 years, all at the appropriate times. The shari or dead wood is very impressive and gives this little guy so much character. My father had shown it in the American Bonsai Club sacramento, and took best in class. It is the best top notch bonsai I have ever owned and is without a doubt A++++ show material. It was brought back 30+ years by my father who was stationed over seas and loved it as much as I have. He left me this little gem and I had hoped to pass it along to my daughter some day, but she is going to need maxial facial surgery and braces as well. So regretfully I have to sell this fantastic bonsai. I just know the new owner will get the same pleasure my father and i have for it.
