Bonsai Japanese black pine shohin mame show ready embedded rock 47yrs large trunk custom tokoanme pot. This little gem is in a stamped tokoname hand pinched pot that is, 4×4 inches by 1.5 inch hight. The tree is 6.5 inches from the soil line and is 5 inches wide. The trunk is very wide at just over 1.5 inches. It was brought back from Japan over 35 years ago by my father. It was his pride and joy and would show it every year in the american bonsai club here in sacramento ca. He won several awards over the years ranging from best show in mame shohin class to members choice. The tree and the trunk show amazing structure and twisting as well as great barking and fits in esteclicaly with the pot just perfectly. I have never seen a tokoname hand pinched pot like this one. The tree and the pot just take ones breath away, my photos don’t do this little guy justice. I have owned it for 5 years and have enjoyed working on it and viewing it. It has always reminded me of a ponderosa pine along horse tail falls in the siera nevadas where I proposed to my wife and she said yes. Every time I see this tree it reminds me of our special time that day. I just know the new owner will get the same gratification out of this tree that I always have. It has been repotted, decandled, pinched backh and fertilized at all of the apropiate times. I know will just love this tree.
