Bonsai Japanese shimpaku juniper shohin mame 53yrs twisted trunk show A+ tree. This little gem is in a stamped tokoname pot that is 8×6 inches by 3 inch hight. It has a massive trunk that is 1.5 at the soil line. The tree is 9 inches from the soil line and 10 inches wide. It has great ramification and shape to it. The trunk is very twisted with great deadwood. It was brought back from Japan over 30 years ago by my father. It was his pride and joy and would show it every year in the american bonsai club here in sacramento ca.. I have owned it for 10 years and have enjoyed working on it and viewing it. It has been repotted, decandled, pinched back and fertilized at all of the apropiate times. Working on it has always brought me back to a lovely beach along lake Tahoe california where I had a fantastic picnic with my wife and she told me she was pregnant. Every time i see this little gem , I think of that magical spot and the fond memories. I know the new owner will get the same gratification out of this prize tree that I have.
