The Kishu Shimpaku Juniper is a very slow growing tree and for that reason, many will graft Shimpaku foliage to different variety of Junipers that grow much faster i. San Jose or Prostrata Junipers. This Shimpaku is not grafted, it is 100% authentic Kishu Shimpaku Juniper. The Kishu portion attests to the lush green growth of the foliage. Autumn, the years last, Loveliest smile. The small leaf Trident Maple. Is an outstanding tree that usually makes its appearance in winter shows when the tree is leafless and bare. The tree will be dropping its leaves soon, but we wanted to show the canopy in full bloom so it future owner can look forward to next years new growth. Additionally, the tree is also well known for the spectacular colors the leaves display in early spring and autumn (with the right cold weather), which are. Various shades of red, orange, and yellow in autumn. In truth, the tree can also display these same colors during the hottest part of summer if trained correctly. There are small areas within the Mikawa Regine, that grow strange offshoots of Black Pines and the Nishiki cork bark black pine is one of those rare offshoots. This outstanding little giant is actually a Nishiki cork bark pine that was grafted onto the base of a regular Mikawa Japanese Black Pine many years ago.
