NOTE: The first two photos, taken 11/10/18 show the trees late fall colors. This tree is now totally dormant. Ulmus parvifolia Chinese elm with dragon like cascade styling. This twisting semi cascade elm was started from a single root cuttings, 8 years ago. The tree and pot stands 12 tall from the bottom the pots feet to the top of the tree. Planted in an elegant unglazed, signed/with multiple chops and beautifully illustrated Yixing Zisha purple clay Chinese pot. It measures 4 1/2 square at the top and is tapered down to 3 square at the feet and is 5 1/8 tall from the bottom of its feet to its top lip. I have tended this tree from its beginnings, as a root cutting from its parent tree. Every few years I produce a few of these trees and this one has shown to have developed well and have good quality prospects. It has been repotted this spring and shows great vigor. This tree has been wired at several stages during its development and trimmed to achieve this wonderful styling. The naturally small leaves make Chinese Elm an ideal Candidate for bonsai.
