Trunk Diameter: 4 at widest point. Nebari (basal flare) : NA. This is an incredible little coast redwood. Freshly wired and styled, this little guy is ready for a show quality pot! I recommend planting in 100% akadama, protecting from frost, and keeping the tree and foliage moist. A perfect addition to anyone’s collection! As always, feel free to ask any questions you may have. I’ve got some new projects that I’m finishing up. Keep an eye out! I do still have many artist made display stands, turntables, pots, as well as some antique Japanese pots, just ask! I sell these trees to both promote the art form, and to support my addicting and often expensive hobby. IF YOU NEED A SPECIAL, HARD TO FIND TREE, JUST ASK! I WILL DO MY BEST TO LOCATE ONE FOR YOU! Height: 14 from soil line. Trunk diameter: 3 at widest point! Pot: high quality japanese tokoname – unsigned. This is an incredible little corkbark elm!

This tree is very old as you can see from the bark and large branches. It has very subtle movement and is absolutely charming in person. Each branch is wired and it is currently potted in a japanese tokoname pot in pre-mixed japanese soil for training. It would look great in a rustic oval either glazed or unglazed. One of my favorite things about this species is that you can trim it like a hedge because it grows like a weed! These are really fun to train! Should be able to show it next year! As always, feel free to ask any questions you may have. School is finally out for summer and i’m back in action! I’m going to start this year off right with a few very old, very special trees! I also still have many artist made display stands, turntables, pots, as well as some antique japanese pots, just ask! I sell these trees to both promote the art form, and to support my addicting and often expensive hobby.

If you need a special, hard to find tree, just ask! I will do my best to locate one for you!

I do not charge for packing materials or labor. Photos taken 5/24/14 (display stands not included unless otherwise stated).

Height: 9 from soil line. Pot: blue glaze square cascade. This is an older tree of mine that is well established in its little cascade pot. I have been working on this tree for the last 4 years, starting from a small uninteresting cutting.
It has progressed, though slowly, over the years to what you see now. As of last year it started flowering and producing actual cherries! This tree has been a joy to watch bloom, and i hope its new owner will get a chance to see some blossoms this year. As always, feel free to ask any questions you may have. School is in session so trees from me will be a rare sight until summer, but feel free to ask if you have a special request!

Height: 6 from soil line. Trunk diameter: 1 at widest point! Pot: high quality unglazed oval. This is a super sweet little. This tree is potted in japanese pre-mixed soil in an unsigned oval pot, possibly japanese. The entire tree is wired and has an interesting “twin-top” design as you can see in the pictures. The soil surface is landscaped with fine moss and pebbles to complete this little show-ready scene. Should be a fun little tree! As always, feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Height: 10 from soil line. Trunk diameter: 3 at widest point!

This is an incredible natural collected native plum tree! I acquired this tree from a friend who dug it from a creek on his property maybe 15 years ago. He potted the tree in a large 5 gallon pot in some sandy soil and let it sit in his nursery. I rescued it last year and re-potted it into some high quality japanese pre-mixed soil last month. This tree has deadwood that only a true yamadori could possibly attain, you can’t carve and replicate something like that, just look at the pictures! This is high quality material that will be a very rewarding project. Since it was re-potted this year, and is such an old tree, i would advise against doing anything to it this year other than fertilizing and watering. It might even reward you with some flowers and fruit next year! Should be an amazing little tree in no time!

As always, feel free to ask any questions you may have. School is in session so trees from me will be a rare sight until summer, but feel free to ask if you have a special request!

Height: 23 from soil line. Trunk diameter: 5 at widest point!

This is one of my very own creations and is what i’m known for in the bonsai community. Twin trunk design with a carved hollow on the main deadwood trunk. The hollow is burned out for a very naturalistic look and feel, just like the redwoods of northern california!
This tree also has a twin top, which is what you find in nature but is so rarely found in bonsai. The base is one of the best i’ve ever seen on a redwood and has great flare and is as close to nebari as you could possibly get on this species. The tree is completely wired and should develop to being show-able within a year or two!!! It is ready for a new pot in spring and would look fantastic in an unglazed rectangle with rounded corners or an unglazed oval.

This is a truly spectacular tree and would make a great addition to anyone’s collection or an incredible holiday gift!! Redwoods require moisture at all times as well as protection from frost. As always, feel free to ask any questions you may have. School is in session so trees from me will be a rare sight until summer, but feel free to ask if you have a special request!
