Chinese Elm (Ulmus parvifolia). Grown by yours truly since a prebonsai in 12′. Each part of the tree has been carefully worked and the trunk is nearly scar free. You’ll never find another tree quite like since I wire each tree differently from a young age. Shohin/Mame Cork Bark Elm Bonsai Tree (Excellent Corked Bark)

Really nice shohin/mame Cork Bark Elm. This tree that has outstanding corked bark on its fat tapering trunk. It also has excellent branch placement that has been fully wired. The wire is good and should stay on for a while longer. It is potted in a cool little Walsall Studio pot. Just a top quality tree that doesn’t come available very often in this size and with this corked of a trunk. It is very healthy with new growth. Don’t miss out on this one! : 5″ x 3.5″ x 1.5. Pond Cypress (Taxodium ascendens). You are purchasing the exact trees in the photos. Collected in 12′ this tree is really coming along nicely. The main trunk chop has fully healed over and smaller cut near the apex is soon to recover as well. Overall this tree is in excellent shape, the roots are interesting and it has not been rushed at all. There are plenty of branches to choose from in the future years and I’ve give the new owner lots of flexibility for future styling and direction. This is an advanced level tree and not for those just starting or at an intermediate level. No short cuts have been taken with this beauty and she’s ready for a pot (and a slight root pruning if necessary) upon arrival. The nebari is a gracious 15″ and I would aim for an 18″ or more comfortably 21 pot to let her reestablish and train faster. Measurements: Height: 27″ Width: 22″ Trunk Diameter: 3.75″ Nebari (root spread): 15″. Hardiness Zones: 4 -11. This tree ships semi bare root – loose soil is gently worked away and the rootball is plastic wrapped.
