The trunk is about 22 tall with mostly, mature, corky bark. It features graceful curves and will make for a tall, naturalistic tree. It has been cut back as shown in the photos and will sprout readily, to add to the branches already present. Use next season’s newly sprouted branches to form your primary limbs. The tree was planted a bit low and the surface roots developed really well. The photos of the tree in the pot do not capture the full size of the nebari. After un-potting and digging down I found a much wider nebari. Just plant the tree a little higher to show off the improved nebari. Continue developing the nebari by allowing thin roots originating at or near the trunk to run and thicken, while cutting back thick roots to encourage new roots to sprout, run and thicken. The rootball in nice and flat. Plant ships bare rooted as shown in the photo to save on weight.
