This has 2 main purposes; first & most important is to Hold the Tree in the Pot, preventing root damage & to keep it stationary in the box. Second is to retain moisture. Kitchen plastic wrap will work to supplement or replace original plastic wrap, if wrapped around the pot and soil, in the same way it arrived. If necessary plastic wrap can be secured with PACKING Tape, wrapped completely around the pot. All other original packing must be utilized.
