This is a true collector piece. It was made by very famous deceased pot painter, Miyazaki Isseki. His works are rare and known as the 2nd best Japanese pot painter behind the very famous Yusen. Although that’s the general thought, many of the old school Japanese professionals will often say that isseki was more talented and but he came after yusen and made less pieces. None the less, this is some of his early works which had more negative space and less clutter. This pot isn’t for everyone but for those who know and appreciate isseki, they will understand the importantance of pots like these. Stand(s) not included.
