This is a nice antique Chinese pot, nakawatari era, approx 120-150 years old. It’s an excellent old pot, nice patina. I got this pot January of 2019 at Mr Morimaes nursery way outside of Tokyo, in the country side. Its got some chips here and there. And on one corner, its not a crack, its what happens a lot with old pots when they got fired in the kiln. Has a perfect ring to it. Please see all pictures closely. Stand(s) not included. This pot is an antique chinese, Nakawatari Era, 120-150 year old piece. Its Kinyo (blue glazed) that is the extremely desired and tough to find like this. These old pots the Japanese brought over from China long ago and were well used in the Bonsai community there. In the past 10 years many Chinese buyers have bought back their countries antiques so its quite hard to find a good quality ones left in Japan. Please note these pots are 120-150 years old and may have some small chips around them. This pot does Have some small chips around the feet. See all pics closely and ask me questions if youd like additional pictures. This is truly a beautiful piece. Hard to find and treasured in Bonsai circles around the world. I bought this pot from my Oyagata in February of 2018. Its been in the Kunio Kobayashi collection for over 20 years and was told it was also used in kokufu at least once. Its really hard to find a piece like this for sale on the open market. The condition is excellent for its age and the style. The patina is so nice as well. Stand(s) not included. I love these old antique Chinese pots. Nakawatari era pots generally fall in the 120-150 although the era can range a bit older, but this is when the vast majority of these pots were made. This is a shirocochi, cream glazed antique Chinese pot. It’s got some great patina and aging to it, but it’s had a tough old life too. There is a repair on one foot. Otherwise in great shape for the age. Overall great pot and great value. The size and shape of this pot is excellent for bonsai use. Stand(s) not included. I love antique Chinese pots from this era, Nakawatari, 120-150 years old. This unglazed pot is in nice overall shape with no cracks but does has some chips on the feet. A great pot to use and enjoy. There was an added drill hole in the middle of the pot (how I bought it) which went right through the antique Chinese kiln chop mark, however the kiln name is still very recognizable chop. This is a great little shudei (red clay) antique Chinese pot. 120-150 years old and in excellent condition. There is a super super tiny chip on one foot, other than that, it’s mint. I love these old antique Chinese pots. Nakawatari era pots generally fall in the 120-150 although the era can range a bit older, this is when the vast majority of these pots were made. This is a shirocochi, cream glazed antique Chinese pot. It’s got some great patina and aging to it, but it’s had a tough old life too. There are numerous small chips and some sort of firing split in the bottom of the pot that doesn’t penetrate all the way through. There is also a piece of one foot missing. I often use pots like this for my own trees. These have only gotten more difficult to find… Please see all pictures closely. The size and shape of this pot is excellent for bonsai use. I love this old antique Chinese pots. Nakawatari era pots generally fall in the 120-150 although the era can range a bit older, this is when the vast majority of these pots were made. This is a shiro cochi pot, made in the cochin region of China. It unfortunately does have a small crack on one side that doesn’t extend more than an inch. However when testing the bottom, the pot has a great ring. I use cracked/damaged antique Chinese pots on my trees in maryland. I never worry about cracking or other problems as I’ve never had one, even when I lived in chicago. The size and shape of this pot is excellent for bonsai use. Stand(s) not included.
