This is a Horseflesh Mahogany (Lysiloma Sabacu) Bonsai Tree. The tree is presented in an informal upright style. It is being offered a glazed bonsai container. It likes full sun and well drained soil. You will get exactly the same tree you see in the pictures. The stand is not included. Bonsai Huckleberry Native Blueberry Species Rare Yamadori fruits flowers 53yrs. It is in a stamped tokaname lt turquoise pot that is 7×5 inches by 2.2 inches tall. The tree is 6 inches talll from the soil line and 5.5 inches wide. It has a massive trunk that is 2 3/8 of an inch wide. It puts on small white flowers in April and they turn into fruit. It is just amazing when it flowers, some years it has been so covered with flowers you could hardly see the foliage. Then on top of that the flowers turn to small black berries which are edible. People make jam from the berries. Huckleberry’s are in the blueberry family, extremely slow growing and a rarity to be able to collect one. My brother collected this tree over 15 years ago and is one of the nicest shohin yamadori (collected tree) flowering and fruiting I have seen. I have owned it 6 years and it has just thrived. It has been trimmed, pinched back, fertilized and repotted at all the appropriate times. Aprox 20 tall from surface of contaner and. Approximately 17 + inches wide. Contaner mica container has lasted in cold winters for years no problem. This is not an indoor tree and or a (finished) bonsai other listings often state an easy tree for newbies this may not be true either. This tree is best for those with a basic foundation of bonsai knowledge. The trunk has an awesome shape and buttressing already developing.
