Where temps drop to 20 degrees your tree will need some extra protection. Move your tree to a wall of your house that shields the wind. Place it on the ground and cover with several inches of mulch or pine needles. In extremely cold areas you can winter your trees in a garage above 15 degrees. Light is not an issue for the tree while dormant. Water over winter every 10-14 days and never allow to freeze while dry.
