Chinese Pensai in Tokoname Suiban. 33mm [13"] x 31mm [12"]. This charming little piece of work came from the collection of Mr. Wu of Stockton, CA. He was a long time’maker’ and collector of penjing and pensai. It was acquired from the estate sale. Looks absolutely stunning with water in the suiban. It shows so beautifully when planted, as the rocks have cavities for small ferns and shubry. Procumens nana The lava rock can be manipulated with grinding tools. Oval deep blue probably Tokoname pottery suiban (looks very much like) with rockery and architectural artifacts. There are a few’broken’ structures and such but on the whole it is fine.
