Complementing the shohin size tree as well as the entire composition is a very fine Japanese Bunzan Seto bonsai pot. The ivory white glazed container is engraved with a Japanese landscape and Mount Fuji in the background (4×3.5×2). On the opposite side of the pot is a Japanese haiku written in kanji. In truth, the container that we chose to use for this cute little olive is a lot more valuable than the olive could ever be. It is a bonsai pot that was created by a Japanese ceramist by the name of Kaoru Ito and uses the name Bunzan for his pots. Ito-san was born on May 10, 1949 and began making pots by hand when he was 24 years old. Typically, Bunzan does not use molds and produces most of his works by the touch of his fingers. When you receive your tree unpack it carefully. Cut the tape and plastic wrap from the pot and the branches if applicable. Secondly give the tree a good watering and then put the tree in a partially shaded spot for a few days to allow it to adjust.
