This dwarf variety has exceptionally small leaves, and tiny internodes. It was grown by the slowest method, which is, to grow it for decades in a nursery pot. But the result is superior to growing a trunk in the ground and then chopping it down. This tree has a slanting trunk, with strong movement to the right. The main feature is the very wide root-base (nebari), over 6 inches wide, which suggests great age in bonsai. The roots and lower trunk has old, mature bark, with some deadwood (shari) along the trunk. The crown has a spreading, natural style, characteristic to olive trees. There are no wires on the tree.
