As you can see in the photo’s, the bark is nice and flaky. This is because the tree was left in the field for a longer period of time and allowed to thicken. This tree has nice branching and movement. The tree has nice taper and a nice flare at the soil level. This tree has many branches to work with, however, I would change the apex(top of tree). I would cut off about a third of the top of the tree to create better movement in the top of the tree. This is a nice older Japanese black pine and they are getting hard to find. This tree will have a reasonable price for the amount of time spent on this tree. This tree is growing in bonsai soil and will be pick-up only!
