Three Japanese Bonsai Pots RYUGAKU 10″ / 9″ / 8 1/4 from Tokoname. Do you like the rustic flavour on your bonsai? Here we go, three Ryugaku bonsai pots set! I used to use the round pot for my black pines as per the second photo shows. The unglazed ones wobble. There are chips on the oval pot as per the last three photos. The unglazed round pot’s one small hole for wiring is not opened and the other one is half closed. I set the low price because I would like to sell out all my bonsai items before relocating to Australia early next year. Enjoy the bargain hunting! The oval pot : Outer width 23 cm / 9. Outer depth 17.7 cm / 7. Height 3.5 cm / 1 3/8. The round unglazed pot : Outer diam 25.5 cm / 10″ Height 4 cm / 1 5/8″. The round glazed pot : Outer diam 21 cm / 8 1/4″ x 20 cm / 7 3/4″ (since the shape is a bit storted) Height 4.1 cm /1 5/8. The item will be sent via surface (by boat). Bonsai Tree by Three Masters Prostrata Juniper in Tokoname pot. More photographs will be added soon. We realize that the summer heat is affecting many parts of the U. Height: The height of the tree from the soil line to the top of the apex is 26. Trunk Diameter: The trunk Dia with deadwood, is approximately 3.5. Canopy: Widest part of canopy is 30 across. Nebari: Root flare is 9 across. This tree was initially designed by Bonsai Master Ryan Neil many years ago, but my Sensei Roy Nagatoshi and friend Mauro Stemberger of Italy also played a big part in the trees journey. With the artistic sense of balance and the feeling of harmony that Ryan Neil, Roy Nagatoshi, and Mauro Stemberger can bring out in the trees they work with, it is very difficult not to love the art of bonsai. Many of the trees that I sell are still a work in progress, but this old collected Prostrata Juniper is a completed tree that is also show ready. It has never been shown anywhere else until today. The tree represents some of the best material that I have to offer. As was previously mentioned, the initial design of the tree was done several years ago by Ryan Neil and then allowed to grow out. After acquiring the tree from a friend, I showed the tree to Roy Nagagtoshi who suggested that we add a harder bend of the lowest branch, which he did as well as cut the branches back for a tighter look. The tree was allowed to recuperate after Roys work and was set aside and allow it to grow out for a few more years. When Mauro saw the tree for the first time he decided to work his Magic on the trunk and add the shari and deadwood that is visible throughout the tree. The final re-styling as well as the added Shari was created by Mauro in February of 2015. Considering the fact that the tree stands only 26 inches tall, the character that the trunk as well as the tree shows is very dramatic. In short, I believe that this beautiful and dramatic juniper exemplifies what bonsai should represent. It is a silent poem and a three dimensional drawing of the awesome beauty that we see in nature and which adds serenity to our daily lives. The pot that we chose to use for this beautiful tree is equally impressive. It is an old round Japanese Tokoname ceramic bonsai pot with a beautiful base (16×7).
