This Pot was made by Seikan. Hes a famous deceased Japanese potter that made both glazed and unglazed Shohin size pots that usually had a raised motif. Impressive bonsai trident maple forest in a nice 1 flat Japanese unglazed ceramic bonsai pot. The glossy foliage emerges with a reddish color and then changes to dark green. In fall, the foliage takes on shades of yellow, orange and even some purple (depending on the location of the tree in your garden) as you can see in the pictures. Very nice group of 5 trees in a pot making a very nice forest scene. The trunks and branches can be wired for better pose and can even be rearranged if desired. As you can see in the pictures, that kind of arranging in this small and flat pot has its complexity. It is the buyers responsibility to become informed of their local/state restrictions. Impressive bonsai of TWO twin Ginkgo Bilobas with more than 20 years in a nice ceramic bonsai clay pot. The Ginkgo Biloba is a living fossil. It is the only living species in the division Ginkgophyta, all others being extinct. It is found in fossils dating back 270 million years. It is native to China. These trees turn the leaves in a bright yellow in fall. Both are very similar in shape making a perfect combination for a twin bonsai. A very unique specimen for your collection. This pot was made by Shiko. I don’t know a whole lot about the potter. It’s a custom pot, 1/1 for sure. The rim is super unique, I’ve never seen anything like it.
