Bonsai Tree Twin Trunk Willow Leaf Ficus (Ficus Salicaria) in Glazed Blue Ceramic Pot. We realize that the winter chill is affecting many parts of the U. Trunk Diameter: The trunk Dia. Is approximately 2.5 inches thick. Nebari (Root Flare): The dramatic exposed roots measure 9 across. Height: Tree height from the soil line to the top of the apex is 20. Canopy: The canopy is well proportioned and measures 15 wide. This beautiful twin trunk bonsai is a Willow leaf ficus (Ficus Salicaria) with small leaves. It is hard to tell when this tree is at its finest. Many enjoy displaying these trees during the winter shows when the tree is leafless and bare, but I believe that the tree is most splendid in spring when covered with the small leaves that fill the entire canopy. Adding to the beautiful canopy is the milky white thick trunk, which combined with the great taper, small foliage, and dramatic exposed roots add to the total effect of this composition. Along with the Olive it is an ideal starter tree for beginners because it is easy to care for and resilient. It is also a perfect choice for the experienced bonsai artist because of the trees ability to challenge you in the design flow. Because the Ficus Salicaria can adapt quite easily too many different environments as well as resist many diseases makes this outstanding little tree even more attractive and suitable to any bonsai collector. To complete this arrangement, we decided to use a glazed Ocean Blue rectangular bonsai pot (13×9.5×4). Along with the beautiful design of the pot, the rich blue bonsai pot matches the tree well and is also inundated with patina. On a side note. Ive noticed that not too many sellers talk or write about things that should be done after you receive your tree so I will give you my two cents worth. When you receive your tree unpack it carefully. Cut the tape and plastic wrap from the pot and the branches if applicable. Secondly give the tree a good watering and then put the tree in a partially shaded spot for a few days to allow it to adjust.
