Up for sale is a 36 year old kingsville boxwood. It spent 25 years in the ground, 5 years in a nursery container and the rest in a shallow bonsai pot. I will provide its history with the tree. It has the image of an old oak tree. I last potted it 2.5 years ago in a mix of lava, akadama, pumice, chopped pine bark, and a bit of horticultural charcoal.
It’s currently dormant, it’s a healthy and vigorous old tree. Many more pictures to come. I’ve styles it once 3 years ago, it could use a second styling this coming year. 2 inch trunk swelling to 3.25 inches at the base which tapers into 8 inches of visible nebari which will produce a magnificent melting nebari after another 5-10 years in a shallow bonsai pot.
