Height: 18 from soil line. Trunk diameter: 2 at widest point! Pot: cut down nursery pot. This is a spectacular piece of japanese maple stock. Just look at the movement!
It’s graceful, subtle, and interesting. The basal flare/nebari is great and will only get better with age.
The bark on this one is also quite nice and fissured all the way up the trunk line. It has good taper and plenty of branching to choose from. All i did to this tree is re-cut and seal some wounds with cut paste, so i’m leaving the rest up to the new owner. It could be a little shorter, but the apex is nice right now so i left it up to you too! It should be a fun one!!
