Dwarf Shohin Mame Trident Maple Bonsai imported 47yrs root over rock show winner

This is a Dwarf Shohin Mame Trident Maple root over rock Bonsai Tree it 47 years old. It was brought back from Japan by my father, decades ago. It is in a old stamped Japanese tokoname pot that is 4.25 inches round by 1.9 inches tall. The tree is 8 inches tall from the soil line, and is 7.5 inches wide. It has a 2 inch trunk at the soil line with great movement. The rock is a piece rare “red river valley” washed stone, rare and wonderful color and contrast between the trunk and the rock. It is very stunning both wet and dry. It has been wired, pinched back, trimmed, fertilized and repotted at the appropriate times and is very healthy. I inherited my fathers bonsai collection a few years ago and had hoped to pass the trees along to my daughter someday. My daughter needs braces and maxialfacial surgery. This is a Japanese Quince Bonsai Dwarf shohin award winner top shelf A+ Tree pink flowers, in a rare signature Hattori crackle glaze pot. It is 7.5″x6″ by 2.75 tall. It has a stump at the soil line that is 4.75″ wide at the soil line, it is 8″ tall and 9 wide. It has pink flowers and fruits, dwarf quince. He brought it back from Japan when he was stationed over there. He had 35+ years and I have had it for 3 years. I know the new owner will get the same gratification from it that I have. It has been fertilized 2x’s a year, wired, pinched, repotted ever 3-4 years and trimmed. As can be seen in photos it is a work of art. This is a Japanese trident maple Bonsai Dwarf shohin award winner top shelf A+ Tree, in a signed and stamped youzan tokanme pot. It is 9×7 inches by 2inches high. The tree has a massive 6″ truck at the soil line, it is 8″ tall from the soil line, and is 7 wide. It has won awards from Sacramento bonsai club, it was my fathers tree and he left it to me, he owned it for over 40 years and I have had it for 3years. It was his pride and joy. It has been fertilized 2x’x a year, wired, pinched, pruned ect all at the proper times. As can be seen in the photos it is a show stopper. My dad brought it back from Japan when he was stationed over there. I was hoping to pass it down to my own daughter some day, but know the new owner will get the same pride and joy I have. Japanese White Pine Five Needle Bonsai 110+ yrs old Show Winner Big Trunk

Japanese White Pine, Five Needle Pine, Bonsai 110+ yrs old, Show Winner, Big Trunk , Fantastic movement, (see photos). It is 21 inches tall from the soil line, 20 inches wide, 16 inches in depth, with a massive trunk at the soil line that is 6+ inches, (see photos) fantastic barking. It is in a stamped tokoneme pot that is 12 x9.5 by 4.10 inches tall. It has one two shows that I know of, one when it belonged to my father in the late 70’s, and once for me in 2008 in the sacramento bonsai club. My father brought it back from Japan when he was stationed there some time in the late 60’s, before I was born. My father enjoyed and worked with this tree into the late 90’s. It was his pride and joy of his extensive bonsai collection. It is a white pine or 5 needle pine that is grafted on to a black pine base. This is done for two reasons, 1st is that the black pine root base is stronger than the white pine, and 2 that the black pine trunk shows more charatcer than that of the white. IIt shows wonderful branching , ramification and all you woould expect out of a high end bonsai as this. I HAVE HAD THE TREE OVER 8 YEARS, I BOUGHT FROM A FRIEND IN MY LOCAL CLUB YEARS AGO. IT HAS BEEN DECANDLED AT THE RIGHT TIMES, WIRED, PINCHED BACK, THINED OUT, AND FERTILIZED ONCE A YEAR WITH A REPOTTING EVER 4-5 YEARRS. It reminds me of an oak tree that grows in the sierra nevada foot hills that my wife and I use to picnic under. Working on this tree has always brought me to this special place.
