The perfect construction without distortion, despite its thinness, is simply remarkable. The founder of Harumatsu Pottery in Hosono, Seto, was Sakutaro Mizuno, whose eldest son, Harumatsu Mizuno, took over in the 10th year of the Taisho era. The fourth generation currently runs it. This piece is likely an old one from the fourth generation. Judging from how well it has aged, I believe it has been used for about 50 years.
