This Trident Maple was grown specifically for bonsai since it was a seedling. It spent numerous years being grown in a pot to develop its structure. It was later grown on in the field to gain its sizable 4 inch diameter trunk base. It was then lifted and its roots trimmed before growing on for another year in the ground to develop its nebari. It was later lifted, and 3/4 of its field soil removed before being potted up in a container. Because it was field grown in direct full sun it has excellent short ramification. Trident Maple trees are easy to care for and can be grown in hardiness zones 5-8 Tree will also come with 1 gallon of professional bonsai mix of Akadama, Shale and Pine Bark, to re-pot in the future.
