This is older stock. It was field grown for about 10-12 years as bonsai stock at Grateful Gardens Nursery of central PA. It was field grown and worked in the ground. It was 3 or 4 times transplanted, with drastic root and branch work every time. The tree sports some awesome old gnarled bark. It has a great base and surface roots. We reworked the initial Chopline in March to promote a better trunk line and it is healing nicely. It will be closed in a couple years making fantastic taper on this tree. This tree has a solid start and is great material for a high quality trident maple bonsai. The tree was potted this March in roots are already coming out of the bottom of the pot. The trees dimensions are as follows. Height – 12 1/2. Canopy – 12 1/2. Trunk – 2 1/4. Nebari(root spread) – 5.
