Bonsai dwarf Japanese white pine five needle shohin mame nr tree very very nice. It is in a stamped tokoname finely blue glazed pot, that shows crackling sings of age. (see photos) The pot is 8″x5″ by 2 tall. The tree itself is 12 tall and 11 inches wide, at the soil line it has a 2.5 inch trunk. It is a white pine or 5 needle pine that is grafted on to a Japanese black pine trunk. This is done because the black pine has a better root system and builds up a trunk faster, giving the supper structure it has now. A good friend of mine is an importer of bonsai trees. He always gives me pick of the 1st ones he gets in, so I get the very best. It has been pruned , pinched back, fertilized, decandled and repotted at all the appropriate times.
