Ulmus parvifolia Cork Bark Chinese elm with informal styling. This tree was started from a single root cuttings, 15 years ago. It stands 14 tall with a thick corking trunk. Planted in an quality Chinese unglazed quality pot that measures 8 14x 6 1/4 and is 3 1/4 tall from the bottom of its feet to the top lip. I have tended this tree from its beginnings, as a root cutting from its parent tree. Every few years I produce a few of these trees and this one has shown to have developed well. It has been repotted this spring and shows great vigor. This tree has been wired at many stages during its development to achieve this styling and has some training wires in place now. And has some training wires in place. The naturally small leaves and corking bark make Chinese Elm an ideal Candidate for bonsai. This tree shows well and is uniquely special.
