Ulmus parvifolia Chinese lace bark elm. Dragon like style, with Chinese Penjin influence. This tree was started from a single root cuttings, 25 years ago. It now stands 22 1/2 tall with an angulating trunk. Its nebari spreads out approximately 6 at its widest. The canopy has its third spring trimming and is 18 at its widest. This tree has a sensual form and is just now at a clip and grow stage. Planted in an oval unglazed quality Chinese pot with chop mark. It measures 11 1/2 x 9 and 3 1/4 tall from the bottom of its feet to the top lip. I have tended this tree from its beginnings, as a root cutting from its parent tree. Ever few years I produce a few of these trees and this one shows to have excellent potential. It has been repotted this year and shows great vigor. This tree has been wired at several stages during its development to achieve this styling and has several training wires in place.
