He entered the path of pottery making with Gyozan as his master. He has exhibited at the “BONSAI no Utsuwa Exhibition” and has won the Encouragement Award and other prizes six times. Using subtly different clay and firing techniques (large gas kiln) from Gyozan, his styles, which aim for sharpness while basing on the “beauty of utility” inherited from Gyozan, have gained popularity.
