Bonsai Japanese Ume plum shohin mame show ready 62yrs A+++. This little gem is in a stamped green Beige tokoname pot that is, 4.75×3.5 inches by 1 inch hight. The tree is 5.25 inches from the soil line and is 5………. It has a massive massive trunk that is 3.35, see photos It was brought back from Japan over 40 years ago by my father. It was his pride and joy and would show it every year in the american bonsai club here in sacramento ca. He won several awards over the years ranging from best show in mame shohin class to members choice. It is one of the best shown mame Ume Japanese plum I have ever seen, it truly takes my breath away every time i see it. I have owned it for 4 years and have enjoyed working on it and viewing it. As can be seen the structure is amazing , achieve from decades of wiring, pinching and trimming. It with out a doubt has the best structure I have ever seen, just meticulous. I know the new owner will get the same gratification out of this prize tree that I have. Beautiful prebonsai tree up for sale. This tree is a bit all over the place and has tree main off shots from two trunks. The two main trunks are mostly dead but the live vein is feeding all the new growth. I would personall make the semi cascading growth on the left side the whole tree. Nice roots to work with but some carving and serious styling will greatly imporve this Natal Plum. Measurements: Height: 12″ Width: 16″ Trunk (diameter): 1.5″ Largest (including deadwood) Nebari (root spread): 6″. Ships semi bare root. Keep outside only- full sun is best. The Natal Plum is medium growing bush that can reach heights of 10′ tall. The plant itself is easy to identify with the compact leaves, forked spines, fragrant white flowers and delicious red fruit. This variety is extremely salt tolerant and is commonly found in landscaping near the coast. It can withstand massive root and foliage reductions and takes to carving very well.
