This is a bonfire japanese red maple, it is in a plastic training pot that is 8×6x2.5″, the tree is 10.75″tall 6.5″wide with 1.5″ trunk, the trunk was coved with a lot of moss. The spring color which still can be seen a little bit in the photos, but nothing compared to what it was there whees ago, is just phenomenal , hence, bonfire, it is a color that can be best described as an orangeish red that is on fire, it is really cool. I have had this guy in my collection for 8 years and it has been repotted every two years, fertilized twice a year, and constantly pinched back producing the great ramification and branching as seen in photos.
