Hawthorn Fruiting/Flowering Bonsai Tree Rare Species! Like maple or crabapple

Height: 22 from soil line. Trunk diameter: 1.5 at widest point! This is something you don’t see every day! I absolutely love hawthorn, but they are so darn difficult to find here in the states. This tree is quite tall, so it could either be worked with at this height, or be airlayered to create two or more trees!

The movement is great throughout, so airlayering would be my choice, as you could get a very nice shohin tree out of it as well. This species is very popular in europe and often mentioned in harry harrington’s book look him up, he has some very nice trees! The bark on this one is incredible, old and flaky!

This should make a spectacular bonsai in no time! As always, feel free to ask any questions you may have. School is finally out for summer and i’m back in action! I’m going to start this year off right with a few very old, very special trees! I also still have many artist made display stands, turntables, pots, as well as some antique japanese pots, just ask!
