Bonsai Japanese Maple ICHIGYOJI great movement 22 years shohin mame. It is in a STAMPED TOKONAME POT. The pot is 8X6.5 inches by 3 inches tall. The tree is 9 inches tall from the soil line, and is 7.25 inches wide. It has a 1.25 inch trunk at the soil line with great movement. I grafted this little gem off of my mother tree back in 1998. I have never seen aNOTHER maple like this one. It buds out with new growth AND AN UNUSUAL red (see photos), and in fall it turns a beautiful orangish yellow. Plus its outstanding leaf pattern shape PALM LIKE. As can be seen the graft is lower in the trunk making it wonderful for bonsai. The trunk seen in the photos has a wonderful BARKING AND color to it AS SEEN IN PHOTOS. The very fresh, green leaves A REFRESHING GREEN STANDING OUT FROM OTHER JAPANESE MAPLES. The tree is upright and broad, and when older, it forms a WONDERFUL round head AS SEEN IN PHOTOS. The Japanese say to plant one each of’Ichigyoji’ and’Osakazuki’ to get the full glory of the autumn brilliance with yellows, oranges, and reds. THE LEAF PATERNS ARE A GREAT PALM LEAF SHAPE. THE TREE IS VERY HEALTHY, AS SEEN IN PHOTOS. It has been wired, pinched back, trimmed, fertilized and repotted at the appropriate times and is very healthy.
