The tree is 7 inches from the soil line and is 7 inches wide. It was brought back from Japan over 35 years ago by my father. It was his pride and joy and would show it every year in the american bonsai club here in sacramento ca. He won several awards over the years ranging from best show in mame shohin class to members choice. I have owned it for 8 years and have enjoyed working on it and viewing it. It is perhaps one of the best structured broom style trees I have seen. The ramification on this gem is just amazing. It has been repotted, decandled, pinched backh and fertilized at all of the apropiate times. I know the new owner will get the same gratification out of this prize tree that I have.
