Bonsai Japanese cork bark black pine shohin mame show ready 51yrs large trunk. This little gem is in a stamped tokoname pot that is, 7.25×5.75 inches by 2.25 inch hight. The tree is 6 inches from the soil line and is 6 inches wide. It has a massive trunk of 3 inches, also shows the very strong formation of secondary limbs with great corking. The corking on this guy is the best I have ever seen. It was brought back from Japan over 30 years ago by my father. It was his pride and joy and would show it every year in the american bonsai club here in sacramento ca. He won several awards over the years ranging from best show in mame shohin class to members choice. It is one of the only cork bark japanese black pines that has natural short needles to it. I have owned it for 9 years and have enjoyed working on it and viewing it. It has been repotted, decandled, pinched backh and fertilized at all of the apropiate times. I know the new owner will get the same gratification out of this prize tree that I have.
