Bonsai Japanese redwood shohin mame 40yrs twisted trunk show A+. This little gem is in a signed handmade tokoname pot that is, 4.5 x 5.5 inches by 1.5 inch hight. It has a massive trunk that is 2.75 at the soil line. The tree is 6 inches from the soil line and 7 inches wide. It has great ramification and shape to it. The trunk is very twisted with great deadwood. It was my fathers and it was left to me. I have owned it for 10+ and have enjoyed working on it and know the new owner. It has been repotted, decandled, pinched back & fertilized at all of the appropriate times. Working on it has always brought me back to a lovely beach along Lake Tahoe, CA where I had a fantastic picnic with my wife and she told me she was pregnant. Every time i see this little gem, I think of that magical spot and the fond memories. I know the new owner will get the same gratification out of this prize tree that I have.
